Dante's Bowling

I'm glad you stopped by duckie. Yes, I know. I've been slacking a bit on posting daily entries. But duckies, the life of a celebrity is never done; you aren't going to be happy until I have to be hospitalized for exhaustion. (That would be so cool by the way. Very A-list!)

On the topic of exhaustion, I am tired of looking for love.

I of all people should know this, since I am an avid believer in "The Secret." It's such a good book. (If you haven't heard, read or owned it...here's the link: http://search.barnesandnoble.com/The-Secret/Rhonda-Byrne/e/9781582701707/?itm=1) Anyway, back to me. Love isn't meant to be found. Love is meant to ravish you when you least expect it. Love is when your emotions rape you of logic and you can't seem to stop smiling whenever you hear your lover's name.

On the other hand, I (think) just like the idea of a boyfriend, to be honest. But when I do "stumble" onto a boyfriend, I want a trophy. I know looks aren't everything (for others) but I don't want anything that will hurt my eyes either.

Speaking of horrible news, my son-son Dante transferred. He's (officially) a non-University of Hartford student. I flipped out on him (so bad) when he delivered the news...because it was two days ago. I was loony like Bridezilla-style. I asked myself why I was being such a d*ck and it all made sense. I love Dante (BROMANCE!) so much that a day without him is a day without complete euphoria.

I love you Dante. I wish you the best in all your endeavors. Even though we were on the phone not that while ago...DON'T BE A STRANGER!

On the topic of friends, Monica, Graham and I made a Wal-Mart trip and I was the self-appointed iPod DJ. I got them onto the newest single by the Ting-Tings, "That's Not My Name."

(Here's the music video link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UX0p7uAW2s The Ting Tings are so hot.) The song is so catchy and by the time we reached Wal-Mart we were all jamming, adding our own little sassy ad-libs. It was a blast.

Speaking of blast, the other night several friends and I went bowling. It was the $hit. I only scored 98 (what am I blind?)...but I was in third place. Everyone in the bowling alley stared at us whenever we bowled because we were genuinely cherry and overly enthusiastic, no matter how many pins we knocked down.

It so happens that all of us who went bowling are Red Caps. (orientation student leaders who wear Red Caps and are the best people you'll ever meet. SHOUT OUT TO RED CAPS '08!) We had to tend to Winter Orientation today (for Spring freshmen and transfer students) and it made me miss past summer orientation sessions. Shout out to class of 2012 and transfer students. Welcome to Hartford and the first day of the rest of your life!

In other news, I think someone tried to break into my room. I was washing one of my knives, left in the sink by someone other than myself, and I noticed these weird scratch markings near the tip of the knife. On my way back to my room something tells me to look at my door's lock latch and I see identical markings on the latch that were on my knife!!!

I know someone better cut this $hit out because I will go Sasha Fierce on you, dancing on your face without missing a count of choreography to Beyonce's "Single Ladies." Speaking of my apartment, my mystery suitemate left his rice cooker on the counter, with rice in it...since last semester. For some strange reason, I take off the lid and stuck my fingers into the rice...to be welcomed by sweaty feet-scented, month-old rice!!!

I have no idea why I drove my fingers into the (seemingly-solid) rice. It smelled like a basketball team had an orgy with hot, safari wildebeest lol.

Off to good news, let's get to the quote of the day for Jan 21st:

"Lamps are tools that illuminate a path for people to follow. Instead of following the "lamps" of others light your own path; lead by example."

I'm back in the flow so I'll be able to keep up with the posts. Okay, I'm legit falling asleep. I wish you the best of happiness. Stay true duckies.

The Cocoa Dust Wars

Morning duckies! Yeah, yeah I was tired last night so I'm posting now. (DON'T SASS ME!) I hope all is well because that's how life should be.
I've been noticing that my favorite color combo, pink & brown, are popping up in more places than usual.

I just love the two colors together because the pink is so precious and innocent and the (chocolate) brown is seductive and smooth. It's like a color orgasm.

Anywho, speaking of sexy on my way to work (like a few minutes ago) there was the cutest little kid sitting next to me. He had very light skin, curly brown hair and gorgeous eyes. He was so beautiful that I wanted to cry because God made a child as beautiful as I am an adult; he was really that beautiful! I want my children to look just like him. My children's names are going to be:

Graham Aiden Gardner

and

Kaleigh Jade Gardner

....aren't those such precious children?! I can't wait to have them in my life. (But I'm getting a nanny because I don't do clean-up or vomit control. Oh nooooo! Woooohuh!)

Speaking of children, you guys remember that sexy pea coat I bought to be this year's winter coat?
(To refresh your memory, here's a shot!)

Well...this coat is a lint magnet. It's like having a child! I have to lint brush it and check for any abnormalities every morning. (Yes, I said children are like pea coats.) If children are like pea coats...I can wait lol. In regards to my pea coat, I forgot to lint brush it yesterday and I felt like a shaggy dog.

Plus, I felt like everyone was looking at me on the train...like hardcore staring at me.

But I came to the conclusion that people stare at what they want the most. So BAM....I'm just that damn irresistible lol.

(WARNING: THE FOLLOWING IMAGE IS TOTALLY DISGUSTING!!!)
Speaking of trains...I saw something disgusting in the back of the 6 train 51st Street train station.
I go to the back of the train because the rush hour crowd is unbearable toward the front. Anyway, I was waiting for the train (jamming to Beyonce of course) and I see something out the corner of my eye. Thinking I saw like a rat or something I look down to see...

(THIS IS THE ACTUAL PICTURE!)

HOBO DROPPINGS!!!! EWWWWW! It looked so dry too. So dry that if the owner of these droppings farted on the train, doo-doo dust would contaminate the air. It would look like Cocoa dust. (Could you imagine that? Bums using their doo-doo dust as means of biological warfare?! It would be called "The Cocoa Dust War.")

SCARY!

Enough of that...let's get to the quote of the day, Jan 13th:

"Everything happens for a reason. The good things are awards we truly deserve and the bad things are tools that help us appreciate those well-deserved awards. Appreciate everything."

I'd like to give a shout-out to my little brother/son Dante for calling me the other night. I can't go to bed without speaking to someone on the phone and Dante saved the day. Thanks Dante.

Last night my friend Sean, whom I haven't spoken to in ages, called me last night. We were sassing each other in sport and it was a delight to hear his voice. Love you Sean!

(Random...a mail guy just passed my office blaring Beyonce's "Halo" from his headphones. She's taking over the world and I love it!)

Today is going to be fabulous. I wish you the best of happiness. Stay true.

Microsass Marathon

This weekend has been an experience.  From freshmen girls nearly dying, to Red Cross sassing me, this weekend has tested my endurance.  I'm usually stressing out about how busy I am but whenever I'm not stressing about something, I don't know what to do with myself.  Today I just slept until noon, went to brunch with my (freshman) son Dante, napped and then started a movie marathon.  I watched:
"Tropic Thunder,"
 "Old School,"

and I'm toward the end of "The Virgin Suicides."
All three movies are great.  However "The Virgin Suicides" is the artiest.  It's so deep, filled with beautiful fantasies, riveting themes and (sometimes) inappropriate humor.  Not to mention Kirsten Dunst isn't a good girl (at all) in this movie.  It's pretty much the epitome of the teenage mind...(of course) minus the five suicides that occur in the movie.

Anywho, recently my computer has been acting up so I decided to delete recently downloaded programs that I haven't been using.  One of them happened to be Microsoft Office Professional 2007 (Trail).  I downloaded this (even though I already had Microsoft Office Home 2007 Edition) because Microsoft Office Professional 2007 (Trail) has a program I needed to design a brochure, Microsoft Publisher.  Anyway, long story short when I uninstalled the Microsoft Professional 2007 (Trial) and it somehow uninstalled all of my Microsoft programs.  Quickly thinking I called my friend Angela, who lives off campus and happened to have the Microsoft Office Home 2007 CD.  Being the beautiful person that she is Angela came onto campus and gave me the CD.  We chatted it up for a bit about the old times...we used to be the "bestest" of best friends.  I still love and treasure our friendship.

(I just popped in "The Fast and the Furious,"
woooooohuh!  A new one is coming out and I can't wait.  I loved the last two and when I saw the preview for the third...my nipples got hard lol.  It was hysterical.)  Anywho, let's get to the quote of the day for Dec 8th:

"If you know you've done the right thing and the world has turned it's back on you, smile.  Karma is a thirsty wolf and supper will be served in your benefit.  Good always prevails, if you believe it."

With that being said I'm gonna finish watching "The Fast and the Furious," so my dreams can leave tread-marks for my waking self to follow.  Stay true pretties.
