SoHo Extravaganza

Hello duckies. I know you're feeling well because that's how life should be spent. But today one of my dear people-friends almost saw her glamorous life's end.
Alyssa is down in Florida (I think) with her grandmother and cousin and she spent her day at the beach. Up in the Northeastern region of the United States of Sassica, I was at my NY people-friend's house: Elle Fox.

Today I finally fell in love with her sassy dog Tyler.

He's always giving me sassy eyes and ignoring my commands. But today he was being very friendly and attentive...but not as attentive as Alyssa's almost-murderer.
Anywho, Alyssa BBMed me and our conversation went along these lines:
Alyssa: Rar-Rar! I was just swimming in the ocean and a D-List rar-rar tried to attack. I got out just in time.
Me: OMG, that's so scary!
Alyssa: I was with my grandma and my 3 year-old cousin; this old man was like "get outta the water!"
(Alyssa cont.)
We start swimming and running and I look over to see a dark gray fin heading towards me.
Me: OMG it wanted to use you for fifteen minutes of A-Listness.
Alyssa: I can see it on the cover of US Weekly: "A-Lister beats-up shark, proclaimed hero among geriatrics."
Hahahah, oh Alyssa.

Speaking of A-Listers, you will die (I hope only figuratively) when I tell you who was on the train with Elle and I today. Effing gorgeous Kerri Russell was sitting across from us on the 6 train.
Elle and I looked at each other at the same time and laughed. Kerri is gorgeous; she looks the same in person, if not more striking. We deemed her celebrity of the week because we respect her so much more for taking the train with us up-and-coming A-Listers. You go Glenn Coco!

After we got off the train Elle & I got our Starbucks fix and roamed the glamorous land of SoHo. We hit up some shops (Old Navy, Uni Qlo and street vendors). But after a few hours of wandering Elle remembered that she promised to meet up with her other people-friends; we departed after she and I went to my Mom's office. (We're just that A-List.)
Anywho, after Elle left Mommy and I shopped until we couldn't carry anything else.
We (well, Mommy) spent some heavy bucks.
I got about 4 shirts, 2 hoodies, 1 pair of hot casual shoes, 2 pairs of jeans, and a Spider-Man pillow. (I couldn't find Batman so Spider-Man swung in and saved the day.)
Enough about me, let's get to some "Words of Wisdom."
"Never blame present failures for past unfortunates. The past is a tool that molds us into the beautiful person we are today and the future is chosen by our actions. Every action has an equal reaction; do the present wisely."

OMG, I have some super-duper A-List news to tell you. So one of my people-friends Maria has taken the semester off to prioritize her life (kudos to you duckie) and in doing she started writing. So far she's written 70 pages...but guess what?! Maria knows the right people and she's in the process of getting her book published!

(Duckies I am not poking fun at Maria. She told me via Facebook that she really needs a copy of this lol.)
Maria, welcome to the elite club of A-Listers; congratulations duckie!
To the rest of you duckies, keep following your dreams...while I meet mine with closed eyes tonight.
I wish you the best of happiness. Stay true.

The Slopes

Duckies, OMG. This weekend has been so sasstasic...and sometimes not in a good way. But I survived and that's what counts most. There was sooooo much drama. I felt like I was stuck in an episode of "The Hills."

(We'll call Hartford "The Slopes" since its always flooding.)

You know how "The Hills" doesn't have any real drama: someone getting hit by a car, declaring bankruptcy, going to rehab? No one even cuts themselves while chopping food in the kitchen.

Well that's exactly how it was this weekend.

More importantly, there were so many divine parties...it was insane.

Shout-out to Josh, Gideon, Andrea, Penelope, Victoria, Diana, Phillip, Sarah, Alyssa, Shane, Mara, Nik, Molly Red, Bill, Steph, Samantha, Alice, BB, Francis, Monica, Yunie, Rockstar, Graham, Evy and anyone else I forgot.

I had fun. Toward the end of Friday night Mara, Samantha, Alice, Francis and I were relaxing and conversing. All of sudden we spot some books Samantha has to read for her student teaching. These books were so emo!

I remember this one book: "Flyaway Home." It was about an impoverished father and son who lived in an airport because they couldn't afford to live in a house. It was so wrong and we were so into those books. It was like "The Pursuit of Happyness: Airport Blues."

Kids need to enjoy their lives before we ravish them with the uglies of the world: they are the future!

Anywho, the next day (Saturday) I went shopping with Monica and Yunie. It was magnificent.

I purchased a few (HOT) shirts, a ring and a chic facial cleanser. I had so much fun. It was a true adventure and my spirits are so high right now. I'm like two good deeds away from being Jesus' publicist. Wooohuh!

Later on in that night I hung out with the A-List kids and the jetsetters: we move the world!

We stayed in: gossiped and swallowed juicy news, poked fun at each other's beauty and spoke about our futures. It was marvelous. Soon thereafter Alyssa and I were having jam sessions to "If I Were A Boy" and other hits. (You are the true definition of a queen, darling.)

In other news, last night Sigma Nu had their (revamped) annual Steak Dinner.

It was scrumptious. My people-friends and I were in V.I.P. and we kicked back, soaking in the glamour. Ugh, the aura of class that exuded from the event was so regal. And the paparazzi were going Gaga at our tables.

Speaking of celebrities, there was a fabulous performance by "Fergie" at the steak dinner.

I loved your red dress, you sexy sugar-muffin; just wanna take a bite out of your supple face and sell it on eBay. Wooohuh!

Enough with the celebrity dishes, let's clean this post up with some "Words of Wisdom."

"The only person in the way of your dreams is yourself. Big dreams can be accomplished if you commit yourself to the task and do whatever it takes. Believe in yourself and love your life. Magical things will happen."

With that being said you beautiful duckies, it's time for me to hit the sack.
I wish you the best of happiness. Stay true.

It's a Spider, Man!

Hello duckies. I hope all is well because life is pointless if you can't enjoy every minute of it. I've been listening to Lily Allen's new album "It's Not Me, It's You" all day today.

I'm going to say it's one of the best albums of 2009, as of now. I like music that I can do anything to: laundry, walking to class, Pilates, hosting a wine and cheese gathering, online shopping, Facestalking...you know the usual. Music is pretty much my life. Thank you for blessing us with your glory Lily.

Speaking of blessing the world with glory, Francis and I had our first date today at the Nest. It was a blast.

We gossiped, we drank Coca-Cola and we conversed about our day. She wasn't feeling quite like herself today but somehow I managed to pull her out of her stump. Thank you for being gorgeous duckie. Keep your sexy face smiling!

OH! I forgot to mention what happened this morning/afternoon. As you may or may not have known I've been so drained for the past couple days. Being a tired little A-Lister, I fell asleep before setting my alarm and my body took advantage of that. I slept from 4am to 1pm! Who does that?! Oh yeah, bears do! It's called hibernation.

I felt so rejuvenated after my slight-coma but when I woke up I almost shat my pants. There was huge flat spider in the ceiling corner...above my bed!

Duckies, this thing was huge. It was at least two inches wide. It was a Hunstmas Spider. I ran to my closet and hit it with one of my Calvin Klein shoots (shoe boots) and I smeared his body-sludge a little bit so his friends will know not to party in my room.

In other news, I was talking to Mommy today and we were conversing about how Dells suck. She proposed that I get a Mac...of course she would be paying for it. But I don't want any Mac, I want one that stands out.

Look out for me after Spring Break duckies; I'll probably be wielding a Mac by then.

In addition to a new computer, I definitely need to go shopping.

I don't even remember the last time I went shopping and that's never a good sign. (Online shopping doesn't count, it's like window shopping with delayed delivery.) I love walking down the streets of SoHo with a slew of bags. Oh the glory!

Okay duckies, it's time for some "Words of Wisdom."

"Being heavily critical of yourself is the worst thing to do because there's never an end to your critique: you sleep with negativity on your mind and you wake up flustered. Mistakes are bound to happen and beating yourself up about them makes things worse. Give yourself a break...you're beautiful."

Melanie: I applaud you for staying in that hellish class. I couldn't deal. Also, I just want you to know that I appreciate you. You've been there since the beginning of "The Sass Corner," even before it was called that. Thank you for being wonderful.
Emma: You have no idea how much I loved your poem today. I was so happy that you loved my letter and I'm glad I have someone to BBM in class.
Pete: Good luck in New York.

Okay duckies it's time for me to head out and find an adventure. I love that my weekend starts on Thursday. Yaaaay! (For those duckies who have engagements tomorrow...good luck waking up lol.)

I wish you the best of happiness. Stay true.
