Dodging Balls

Hey my loves!  I know you all are doing well because life is meant to be lived in happiness, not in strife.  This week has been pretty eventful.  Last week I remember mentioning going to my friend's house to hang out.  We did some adult things--not sex, silly duckies--and we watched episodes of "Family Guy."  The last time I saw them was around my birthday and by birthday I mean the day of my 24th year on Earth, where I was throwing up in an ex-friend's backyard.
Oh yes!  I have dismissed someone of my friendship this week.  I'm not going to lie and say he wasn't a friend to me at certain points...but he has become such a miserable and disrespectful person.  I know that I am not the easiest person to deal with sometimes but this dude was always a downer.  He'd always take things so personal and swore he was some type of gangsta.  I'm sorry but we both we to the same performing arts school from 5th to 12th grade.  If you know pieces by Schubert, Bach, Beethoven  and contemporary composers by heart, you're no one's gangsta.
Plus his lifestyle wasn't much of anything credible and he didn't seem to mind it.  He wasn't trying to better his life.  He would just wallow and smoke away his problems and complain, complain, complain.  So one thing led to another and we got into a verbal altercation via text and we ended our friendship.  Honestly, he was just a decent connect for "okay" weed.  But I do wish him well...
You know the saying, "When one door closes, another one opens?"  Well, it's ridiculous how doors open for me when I close others.  When I got off work this past Saturday my phone was dying but I was trying to call my friends to see if they wanted to hang out.  The few people I did call to hang out didn't pick up.  (Yes if you received a call from me Saturday night and you didn't pick up, you are now a cunt in my book; especially if you haven't returned my call yet.)
Anywho, no one picked up so I decided to head home.  As I was in about to go to the lower level of the train station, I noticed someone's bright neon jacket...and saw that it was my friend Jessie that I haven't seen in close to two years!  She was running for the train and totally didn't even see me so I ran behind her and when I got on the train I tapped her on the shoulder.  She turned around and her face lit up faster than flash cotton in a grease fire!
She couldn't believe it was me and she kept telling me "I'm going to embarrass you on this train!"  I was just so happy to see her that I don't even think I had time to be embarrassed.  I told her I was just getting off work and I told her I wanted to do something...AND SHE INVITED ME OVER!
We spent the night gossiping, laughing, and just loving each other.  It was magical!
In less than twenty-four hours I got rid of one disrespectful, anger-filled reject and replaced him with an angelic, beautiful, and vivacious lady.
Since we're on the topic of vivacity, I'm gonna tell you what happened to me today.  Well I had to stop by my psychiatrist's office to pick up a prescription--only the best for Gabe--and on my way home a young boy got on the train.  He seemed nice...until he started dribbling/bouncing his basketball on the train.  Everyone was looking at him like he had grown three heads and they had every right.  This little Hispanic kid kept dribbling his ball until he got a seat and then he stopped to eat a gold-wrapped chocolate coin. (Yes I just pulled out the race umbrella, but remember I did talk about those bad-ass black kids last week.)
I thought his antics were over but after resting and stuffing his face with his gold-wrapped chocolate coin, he cringes up the foil, tosses it under the seat, and starts acting as if the train car is his own personal gym.  He became the superhero Flash, well he tried.  He was using people as "prop players" by "breaking" them and pump-faking in their faces and he used the poles as training posts to maneuver around.  He got really close to me and I was hoping he'd just trip or topple over...but instead his basketball fell on one of my pink Polo sneakers.
Before recovering his ball, he looked me in the face and said "I'm so sorry."  This little boy looked like he was about to shit his shorts but that didn't stop me from hating him and glaring at him behind my Ray-Bans.  I wanted to say something, to speak for my fellow public transportation patrons.  But everything that came to mind would make me look like the new bad guy or it ended with me in jail.  So I didn't say anything and he took that as his cue to escape.  But for the rest of my train ride he made sure to stay away from my side of the car.
In other news, I still love my job and pretty much love it even more now.  I had the cutest couple come in and we spent close to four hours walking around and adding gifts to their registry.  They are so sweet and I wish them the best life together.  Their love is the love that inspires me to wait for the right one and to stop forcing people into someone I think might be right for me.  Love doesn't come prepackaged and handed to you.  Love is like making the perfect batch of brownies.  It doesn't come to you when you force it.  It comes when you pay attention to detail and accept the ingredients into your life.  After mixing them with knowledgeable experience, then you can put that bad boy in the oven and you'll know exactly when it's ready...or you can burn the house down too.

What the fuck am I blabbering about?  I'm tired LOL.  Let's get to this week's Word of the Week
Marriable (pronounced mae-ree-uh-bul): eligible to partake in matrimony; one who is a bachelor or bachelorette; a single person.
Ex: "Gabe, that girl over there is so hot.  You think I can get her number?"
"You can try but by the ring on her finger, it doesn't look like she's marriable."

Now it's time for some Words of Wisdom.

"Only the boring get bored.  But if you do become bored exit your comfort zone and try something new.  Make today more interesting than yesterday and make tomorrow a promise.  Live life like a flamboyant ninja."

I'm so excited for this week.  With my new check I'll be able to pay off my gym membership from last year and start a new one because ain't nobody got time for fat! (I stole that from my friend Tracie and Sweet Brown.)  And there's an event for school's alumni to come meet up and drink in the city...AND IT'S FOUR BLOCKS AWAY FROM MY JOB! MADNESS!
I think I've said enough for this week's post.

Have a fabulous week and keep it sassy.
I love you for reading!

Haunted in Hartford

Duckies! Yes, I have been a bit negligent with posting but I've been super-busy with life. I'm tending to summer internship paperwork, Red Cap duties, homework, family, my social life and myself. I just made a new away message and Monica really liked it. It reads:
"There comes a time in life when one has to die in order to live; it isn't a sad death but more of an inner-awakening."

I have no idea where such insight came to me so early this morning--10AM is early for a college student--but I wanted to share that with you.
Speaking of Monica, she, Graham and I had a homework party last night. But like any homework party it became a party among the company of books. We accomplished some assignments but not as many as we planned.

Let's face it...homework sucks! Plus it's not even homework. It's dormroomwork. Nonetheless we finished our assignments...well I know I did lol.
In other news, Garret, Josh and I have decided to live together next year. We're going to be suities (suitemates)!

We want Nate to live with us too but none of us have had the chance--or remembers when he's around the suite--to ask him. (Maybe I'll just send him the link to this post lol). We are going to get singles in Park River, the college retirement home on campus. Freshmen year we dealt with the brickhouse projects and our second and third years have been spent with random people. However, we're going to be pampered as seniors! (Ahhhh, I'm going to be a senior in college next year!)
I'm not freaking out, just merely making peace with it in a rash manner lol.
Anywho, this past weekend was an absolute wonder. I traveled afar--on campus--to many destinations: parties, social gatherings and to those I love dearly. I believe it was Friday night that I visited Alyssa's apartment and we were sharing friendly-gossip, of course. Then the subject changed to "Twilight: The Movie" and how pain-stricken Jasper looks in every scene.

If you haven't seen "Twilight: The Movie" please do. It's hilarious. I was a bit hesitant when Gabriella begged Mommy and I to go with her to see it in theaters but afterwards I could only thank Gabriella for such a treat.
Speaking of movies, Graham, Monica and I finally had the chance to see "The Haunting in Connecticut."

It was such an amazing film: there were parts where we jumped, screamed and laughed. For the most part, I'm still afraid when I'm alone in my room. As seen in the previews, there's a scene where the main character (Matt) turns off his TV and sees a dark male figure walk out of his door's threshold. I've been sleeping with my TV on ever since I've seen "The Haunting in CT." I'm such a scared little duckie.

In regards to TV, it brings me great grief to say this but we--my producer and I--have decided to cancel my TV show's production.

"The Antoine Gardner Show," which would have been an ultimate success, would have killed the both of us. With Mallory being so close to graduation and with me stressing over school already we though it'd be best to lessen our load while we were ahead. But duckies, never fear I am full of endless goals.
I was thinking about starting a VLOG (video blog) in addition to the glamorous blog you're reading right now. This weekend Eddie let me borrow his video camera and it felt so good to video tape others while I interjected with witty humor. (I'll give you more details about the VLOG as time progresses.)

I think it's time for the "Word of the Week."
This word of the week is:
Hove - To adore something so purely that it is then transfixed into hate; justified jealousy; hate-love.
Ex: Person 1: "I love you so much that I hate you, Gabriel."
Person 2: "Honeychild, that's called hove. And you have no idea how much I hove you."

Since I'm in good spirits, let me give you some "Words of Wisdom" too.
"We are all collectedly ignorant. Without experiencing the opposite of our usual comfort zone we cannot fully appreciate and understand those who may not agree with us. In order for people to survive, an equal and opposite force needs to be present. Take time to understand."

Lauren, Cliff Morris, Aly and Amanda...
Lauren - This day makes it a year that we've been friends. I remember your party last year and how much fun it was with the Happy Meal Aladdin stickers lol. (Were they Happy Meal stickers??) Happy Birthday honeychild!
Aly - Wooohuh! Regents buddy! Grace! I love you so much and I can't even explain how much I want you to rape this day. Make it yours! Happy birthday sweetheart!
Cliff Morris - Do I really need to express how much I love you?! (Ummm...Yes! lol) I love you so much dude. You are an unbelievably valuable treasure and I can't imagine life without you. Happy birthday my dear people-friend!
Amanda - I am terribly sad that you took this year off from school but I am so happy that I can call you a friend. I love you with all my heart and I had a great time at your party...even though you might not remember lol. Happy birthday baby girl!
Okay duckies, it's time for me to start my beautiful day. It looks like it's about to rain but nothing stops me from loving the world.
I wish you the best of happiness. Stay true duckies.

Two days for the price of sleep

Hello duckies! I have no idea how I'm still awake. Oh yea I do: caffeine pills, yay!

Kids, don't do drugs unless they're sugar-laced...then that makes them fugs (fun drugs)...yay! LOL okay, all jokes aside drugs are bad and caffeine pills are drugs so...you get the picture duckies. Do not go to the campus bookstore and buy them because you have a paper you have to finish editing that's due in less than 24 hours! Woohuh!
But drugs aside, I think its a damn good paper.

It's entitled "The 'Nowadays' Feminist." With this paper (as mentioned in my earlier post) I juxtaposed Elle Woods (Legally Blonde) and Andrea Sachs (The Devil Wears Prada) and how they are the new kind of feminist. To get into specifics I discussed how beauty correlates with sexism and how it effects women in the workplace. Through Elle's and Andrea's professional journeys they both reach a point where they find themselves; and with their new found self they are able to subconsciously and overtly promote feminism.

I just emailed Naomi a copy (hey duckie) and she hasn't IMed me back yet...maybe because it's horribly fabulous. Yay! Or maybe she isn't going to read it yet lol. I want to thank you Naomi for being there from the very beginning (freshman year, my blog...Cup Noodles lol). You know I love you more than puppy poop.
(If you duckies want to read my paper I'd be more than happy to email you a copy. Shoot an email to Agardner@hartford.edu and I'll reply.)

Speaking of horribly fabulous, I called my Dad from Samantha's phone today, (thanks Sam), while she, Francis, William and I waited for our food at the Nest. (Are you ready for this duckies?)
Blackbird won't be on until...FRIDAY! AHHHHHHH!

I just looked at my calendar and I realized this upcoming Friday is the second Friday the 13th of 2009...I think lol. Anywho, my Dad said my bill a was around $500...who the fcuk has been using my phone to call Hell?!

(Sorry if this image scared you...it's just me in make-up. Oh Freshmen year. The memories.)

Anywho, as I mentioned in my previous post I received the position as a preceptor for a Freshmen class on a survey of Toni Morrison's novels. I am so excited. But more importantly I am grateful to have Professor Beckford as an instructor...because she recommended me for the position!

Professor Beckford you are one of the most precious human beings I've ever met and you're such a remarkable instructor.
(Side Note: Duckies, this is not sucking up. I am showing my gratitude. Plus I have a paper due tomorrow and in no way is it going to be graded any gracefully than the next.)
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

In other news, last night I was chatting online with Phil (he's my frikking sanity on days like this) and we discovered that we both love Batman. This isn't like "oh yeah, Batman's cool" kind of adoration. This is "if Batman were a real person we'd be stalking the Bat Cave, in our Batman PJs and matching capes" kind of obsession.

(Maybe not that much...okay I'm lying lol.)
I love you Batman!
He's my favorite superhero because he's just a mortal man who kicks a$$ like no other. Plus, he's like the only superhero who doesn't have crappy relationships, hates their life or is broke; Batman/Bruce Wayne is the man...I mean..."you the Bat, Bruce." lol

Tonight Rockstar and I will be on our radio show, "Rar-Rar w/ Rockstar and DJ Squiggz."

Our show is from 9pm to 10pm.
You can listen/watch us online (there's a live webcam in the studio) at wsam.hartford.edu or if you're lazy and you live on campus turn to Channel 5 on your TV or tune your radio (people still have those?) to 105.3FM.
We'll play those new jams you love so much and tonight the J Boys will be in the studio with us.(Check out their website: jboyswsam.webs.com) If you wanna request a song or just wanna talk to us sexy duckies the number for the station is (860) 768-4768! Call in tonight!

Okay, I've held it off long enough...let's get to some "Words of Wisdom."

"When peril tries to back you into a corner don't freeze to think: react! You are highly capable of defending yourself because you're smart, beautiful and you love yourself...so kick some a$$."

Alyssa: You have no idea how great it feels having the privilege of calling you a people-friend. I love hanging out with you, whatever you touch turns fabulous and I want you to take this day and shove some A-list cake down its throat. Happy birthday! (I wanna come to Ginza but I don't think I'll be able to go because my show starts at 9. Call me if anything...I can't call you lol.)

Molly Red: I love you and I got your back like a door has a handle. (Lol what?!)

Monica: The sandwich quote was the post you commented on lol. "The end is the best part, duh!" lol. I love you.

Jordan: Thank you for keeping me sane in the WSAM meeting last night...lol I was so over it. Thanks for being a friend.

Justin: Get ready for Group D all summer boyeeeeeee! (What? What?!)

Diamond: Thank you for the blow pop and thank you for keeping me focused last night lol. Your lesson plan is going to be fabulous!

William: Roomy! (Francis told me to do it lol) Love ya!

Alexis: I love running into you at the library and at Dialogues. Ugh, I love you.

Okay duckies, I gotta go get some lunch with Francis and William before I pass out lol.

I wish you the best of happiness. Stay true duckies.

Peace, love & Obama,

A Mid-Winter Night's Sass

Hello duckies. Yes, I am trying to be on-point with my posts. I'm going to (try) and make this a habit. Off to business!

So I just got from a gathering of A-list buddies; Graham, Roger, Kit-Kat, Derrick, Alex, Lex, Kiley & Carol. I love chit-chatting with fellow (future) A-listers. So much fun. Anywho, it's Roger's birthday today!

Yaaaaay! Happy birthday duckie! You're fabulous and your eyes make me want to exhale happiness. You are beautiful...this is your day so take it duckie!

In regards to the A-list gathering I must say I am happy that Alex is my Valentine this year. It seems as though A-listers never have a Valentine, only if they're dating someone (go figure). You think celebrities would have valentine candidates throwing themselves at them...nope! The Z-listers always couple with their lovers. (Booo Z-listers!) Anywho, I am going to treat Alex to some valentine goodness from Jacques Torres,

who is a fine 'chocolatuer;' if you watch "Gossip Girl" they love his hot chocolate boutique in SoHo. Yaaaaay A-list Valentine. You're going to love it Alex!

On the other side of the spectrum, you know what I find disgusting? It repulses me when I walk into a bathroom to relieve myself of daily waste...to find urine on the toiler seat!

I mean guys come on, no matter what the "length of your nature" aim is pertinent. There needs to be a class called "Urinal Practice 101" because I'm tired of wiping after people, before I even get a chance to wet the seat. (Sometimes I wet the floor but I wipe it up.) Let's keep it classy male-duckies!

Speaking of classy, in my previous post I mentioned me doing laundry yesterday. Well, I love doing laundry because your clothes smell like an angel took a shower in your garments. However, I (absolutely) hate folding clothes. Where's my maid?! Ultimately because I hate folding clothes (especially tonight) I will be sleeping on a COLLEGE mattress, without sheets.

Duckies, I am not crazy; don't worry I have two mattress pads on my bed, one of them being a feather bed. (Feather bed - A mattress pad made of goose down feathers or heavily padded material.) Ergo, I will be sleeping on top of a mattress with two reassuring, A-list cushions. Yaaaaay!

In other news, for the past week I have been compelled to watch "The Devil Wears Prada."

This movie is my soon-to-be career's life! All though I will not be "Andrea," (Anne Hathaway's character) because I have an impeccable sense of fashion and I know exactly how I'm going to develop my career. I love my life and I want every duckie to love theirs too. Appreciate everything, even the "hate" people throw at you because when people throw "hate" this means you're doing a fabulous job!

Okay, I've waited long enough. Let's get to the quote of the day for Feb 7th:

"When setting a goal, remind yourself of your efficiency. A brief 'pep-talk' with yourself (not a conversation because then you'd need psychiatric help) in the mirror reassures yourself of the goal you are to complete; thus saying your goal aloud and repeating it gives it 'life' and the goal will then be accomplished."

For those coming to Day Two of Red Cap tryouts,

believe in yourself and the results you think will surface.

Duckies, I wish you the best of happiness. Stay true.

Peace, love & Obama,
Gabriel Anderson

I Know Who Sassed Me

Hello duckies. Yes, this is a delayed post...so the fcuk what? You'll get over it because you know I love you. Anyway, last night was such an A-list event. I was with some of my favorite people-friends: Rockstar, Francis, James, Maria, Ariel, Sarah, Garret, Samantha, Ricky and so many others; love all of you! It was sooo fun. Rockstar and I were a mess; gabbing about movies and the glam life. We started talking about "I Know Who Killed Me,"

and it was basically the adult/emo version of "Parent Trap." That's all I'm going to say (for those who haven't seen it) but it's so bad that's it's good; I recommend a viewing ASAP!

In other news it was Mommy's b'day yesterday, Feb 5th!

You have no idea how much I love this woman. She's the reason I'm alive and so A-list. My NY friends say that she's way cooler than me (and I'm only going to agree because she's probably reading this right now and...it is kinda true). I love you sooo much Mommy. You do so much for me and you are definitely my true, ride-or-die people-friend.

Speaking of people-friends, people are coming up to me like "WTF, is a people-friend Gabriel?" To further illustrate the definition of people-friend, I'm going to make it as simple as possible. Okay, think about the friends you have today. Think about how you met them; if they're your best friend right now, you probably met them randomly or not through your usual way of making friends. Somehow these "people" are now your "friends" and you cannot imagine life without them being a part of it.

That's what a people-friend is.

Back to the night of glam with some my people-friends, I've come to realize that I remind myself of Nicole Richie, like how she was portrayed in "The Simple Life."

I say this because I find myself saying the most random (yet appropriate) things while conversing and meeting new people. I love the limelight and I'm sure you know this, (I made peace with this a long time ago). I love being A-list, it's so fun; all the parties, the people-friends...divine!

Relating to the topic at hand, Rockstar reminds me of Paris Hilton...

because like Nicole and Paris, we work so well together. Paris was the one who always focused on things and Nicole was the one that always threw some "glamour-jazz" around the place. OoOoOo, new word of the week.

The Word of the Week is:

Glamour-Jazz: Mischievous acts that spruce up a situation; "bad" but funny actions; Gabriel Anderson's life.
Ex: "Whenever it gets boring in class, I always find myself throwing glamour-jazz into our class discussion, so people start laughing."

Anyway, it's best long enough that I haven't given you a quote of the day. Here it is for Feb (5th &) 6th:

"Appreciate the little things in life; the little things play greater roles in your life than you think. They make you smile and feel special. Life is full of spectacular little things so obtain as many as you can; drown yourself in happiness."

Okay duckies, I'm doing laundry right now...

so I gotta go; college-duckies will take your stuff out the machine and sass it to the ground.

I wish you the best of happiness. Stay true.

Peace, love & Obama,
Gabriel Anderson

My Life, in 3-D

Hello duckies. For someone who can't shut-up about their life, I have no idea what's going to be the central topic of my personal essay...which is due tomorrow! (I really hope it snows!)

No...it will snow; positive affirmations! Anywho, I received a picture text message (from Gabriella) of a new addition to our family.

Her name is Jada (a.k.a. alien, to me). She weights 8lbs and 1 oz. Honestly, she scared me when she was in Joy's (like my 2nd mom) stomach. She would move around so much and toward the end of the pregnancy...you could see her moving. It was gross. It reminded me so much of an alien. Whenever Gabriella and Mom would worship Jada (through Joy's stomach) I would backup into a corner and pray they didn't get attacked lol.

In other news, one of my suitemates thinks he's a rapper and refers to his room as "the studio." Dude thinks he's making music but he's just making noise.

It was cute last semester but now it's just annoying. It's like 1am (right now) and this dude is hardcore rapping. Don't you have homework to do? Or is rapping and annoying your suitemates your homework assignment tonight? Stop sassing me with your "gangsta" $hit!

Speaking of business, The Nest definitely lost business from me today. Recently they've given students the option of door-to-door delivery and many students have taken part in this new treasure. However, I was not pleased. I called the delivery operator (to be put on hold like four times, for her to converse and laugh with her co-workers) and to top it off, she forgot to put my order in!
About forty-five minutes pass by and my food is nowhere in sight. I call The Nest back and a guy picks up, puts my order in and he got my food delivered to me within 5 minutes. (Thank you Mr. Efficient. Screw you Ms. Laughing Hyena!) Anyway, when I did get my buffalo chicken salad, it was just a pile of dry lettuce, sprinkled with tiny pieces of chicken and a little bit of cheese.

They forgot to include the blue cheese I ordered as well but I wasn't going to go over there to complain; that defeats the purpose of door-to-door delivery.

(OMG, my suitemate just started rapping again, WTF?!)

Anywho, for those who read the post before this one, I spoke about my radio show being back on air soon. Well, due to unfortunate circumstances we won't be back on air until further notice.

Yes duckies...I am highly upset and disappointed with the lack of professionalism and promptness of the radio Gods.

Since we're on the topic of "Gods," I'd like to thank the powers-that-be for giving me 20/20 vision. However, I do like wearing glasses; 3-D glasses to be exact.

I think 3-D glasses look so cool but I don't like the lenses so I pop them out and wear the frames. When speaking to my dear friend Rockstar about it he said something insightful, along the lines of:
"Wear them. You can just wear the frames because life is in 3-D anyway."

Rockstar is the Socrates of pop culture. Thank you for putting my life into prospective.

Anywho, let's get to the quote of the day for Jan 28th:

"Life in unpredictable and no one can predict the future. It's up to you to prepare yourself for things to come. However, if you prepare for the worst, the worst will come. Prepare yourself for positivity and your day (and life) will be beautiful."

OH!

Happy B'day Brianna! Today is your day so take it and use it as you please. (If you sass me...this might be your last birthday lol. I love you!)

Okay duckies, I'm growing tired and I have to get this personal essay completed. (Wish me luck!) I wish you the best of happiness. Stay true.

Peace, love & Obama,
Gabriel Anderson

The Unseen

Hey duckies. (Let me just get to it.) Due to some (very) unfortunate events, Devin and I were unable to see "The Unborn." (I don't even wanna go into details lol.) However, we did see "Four Christmases"

which was hilarious. My favorite quote from the movie was:
"You can't have families without 'lies.'" LMAO, isn't that awesome?! So clever. Kudos to the writers of "Four Christmases." Believe it or not, the movie wasn't centered around Christmas. It was about the power we try to have over our lives and how that power struggle affects others in our lives. It was deep.

By the way it's Devin's birthday today.

Happy birthday Devin! I know we spent your birthday eve together (and I was the first to call you on your birthday...even though I was sitting right next to you lol) but I just want you to know that you're amazing.
OH!
On our late night stroll (well early birthday stroll, for Devin) we saw this precious bulldog. He was pooping (lol) but I was like "OMG. A bulldog. I want one of those." So I walk up to the bulldog (after he finished pooping, of course) and make eye contact with it for like 5 seconds. All of a sudden, the dog's jumping on my leg, going ape-shit.

I felt like I was in the next episode of "When Animals Attack." The owner of the dog immediately saw this and calmed him down. (I later learned the dog's name was "Rome.") I wanted to pet him and Rome let me. After the fact that I was nearly-mauled Devin told me that I wasn't supposed to make direct eye contact with a dog because it's like I'm dominating him; I intimidated poor Rome. My bad Rome! I still love you. You're so adorable. (But don't you ever sass-attack me again. Kthanksbye.)

Speaking of attacking, looking back at last semester I feel like I left some of my true friends for dead. I hardly spent anytime with them. It wasn't my fault (entirely). It seemed like the same drama was happening with them and that gets old quick. If it's not "The Hills" or "The City," I'm not up for it.
In addition to that, I made tons of new friends...of course there was drama. But it was new, healthy drama; drama necessary for life. Anywho, I just want to shout-out my true-blue friend Lily for always being there. Even when I didn't call back (sorry) or didn't stop by your apartment as much (sorry) or when I didn't invite you to parties (sorry)...WOW. I was an a$$hole lol. But all I have to say is...

Like what was I thinking?! We're both so A-list. Plus, now that I have a BlackBerry we could go to lunch and stuff and put them on the table like true celebrities. Yaaaay, fame! LOL, love you Lily. Forgive my foolish ways.

In other news, Obama hit the cover of The New York Post yesterday...with other past presidents.

I'm not going to lie, I did not read the article. I didn't even have time to read my horoscope lol. I was at work and I saw a newspaper with Obama on it and I snatched it up. I did hang the cover in my office. (I just looked at it.) Obama is such a beautiful man. When I saw his last debate with McCain, I knew he was going to be president. I was so captivated by the suppleness of his skin and striking face and the accuracy of his well-tailored suit. I wanted to reach into my HD screen and touch his face. Whenever McCain spoke, Olay anti-wrinkle serum commercials kept playing in my head. Plus it looked like he had to keep tucking his neck-goobles in his collar.

(Yes, I just created the word lol.)
I'm glad Obama is going to be the Prez of the United States. Yaaaay (half) A-A!

Anywho, I'd like to take the time to shout-out a very special friend.

Axel, you always comment on my blog and you honestly make me feel so loved. We finally became friends this year (I don't know why it took so long) but every time you comment on my blog, IM me, Facebook me, or just speak to me...it makes my life. Thank you Axel. You are the $hit.

With that being said, let's get to the quote for Jan 9th:

"When you don't get your way, imagine yourself in the opposing force's shoes. Look at your view from a different angle and new methods of persuasion will blossom. This is your life (you should get whatever you want)."

Okay, I'm at work and I've yet to start actually working lol. I wish you the best of happiness. Stay true duckies.

Peace, love & Obama,
Gabriel Anderson
