The Sass Must Go On!

Good afternoon duckies! It has been too long--two weeks to be exact--since I blogged. I missed you all so terribly.

I've been so busy with my internship at HarperCollins Publishers. I feel like such an oldie sometimes. Every day, after work, I come home and I end up falling asleep on my couch.

I haven't really had a break all summer. I started working with Red Caps in late May (until June 11th). Then my internship with Harper started June 16th and my last day is August 13th. Then on August 23rd I have to truck it back to Hartford for my Senior year. So I basically have/had 2 weeks to myself this summer lol.

But I can't complain, I asked for this lifestyle. (I see why my fellow celebrity-brethren turn to drugs lol) Did I really just say that? But I know it will all pay off in the end. This is only the beginning of my beautiful life.

A lot has happened over the past three weeks.

The weekend of July 24th my dear duckies Kelly, Shelby, Rudis, Shaun and Graham went to a hookah bar called Phours, down on 6th Street and Avenue B.

Graham only stayed for about 20 minutes (but I've seen him all summer). It was such a rewarding experience to see my fellow college-educated duckies.

Kelly: We are indeed living the dream and remember don't focus on what we don't have. Treasure everything we do and more will come.
Rudis: It's always a pleasure my friend. I need to see you more often. You make my life!
Shelby: Devoted duckie, I love you. I hope you're having a fabulous day at the zoo. (Hello zookeepers! Thank you for keeping up with my posts.)
Shaun: You better slip away to celebrate my birthday on August 21st. I had a blast shooting the $hit with you at Starbucks and our little walk to the train.

Oooh! Speaking of birthdays, the big day is 16 days away; I'll finally be 21!

I've finally decided how the night will go about. On my actual birthday--August 19th--I just wanna stay in with my family & friends and have some wine and pizza. (Or I might go to a bar, who knows?)
On August 21st, I'm having an A-List dinner with nine beautiful duckies at my favorite restaurant, Carmines.

Then everyone else--this includes you--can join us at this beautiful lounge called APT. It's location is 419 w13th Street.
(Actually a picture of part of the lounge.)
For my 21st I don't wanna be sloppy and belligerent. (Gaga knows I've had too many a night like those.) I want it to be classy: drinks in hand, bellies full, hearts full of laughter, great friends at bay and eyes for gorgeous SummerBoys.

Speaking of sloppy drunk, the week before I saw my precious duckies at the Phours Hookah spot, I hung out with my favorite chicas: Mel, Alice, Lidia and Reba...and others.

They weren't sloppy drunk though. I was. It was horrible.
(Don't judge me. I'm going to give you all the not-so-glamorous details of the night.)

Before I left my house, I made a strong concoction of whatever was at the bar of my house, mixed with Apple & Passionfruit juice. The drink was stupendously good...and incredibly strong. It had Pyrat rum, Alcohol 95 (which is overproof, meaning it's over the alcohol proofing system, in other words it's like drinking rubbing alcohol), and some other poisonous additions.
So when I got to Mel's sister's apartment, I began to guzzle my drink. I'm a titanium tank though. It takes a lot for me to get sick. Anywho, I finished my drink before we left but I was absolutely fine. Then I took a shot of Captain Morgan (aow) then I made a drink with Smirnoff and orange juice. Duckies, I was still fine.

We took the train down to my hot spot (not giving away any bar names) and I had a Cornona Extra and I ordered a picture of Coors Light. I only drank 1.5 cups of Coors Light. Not to mention, Lidia and I had a very special heart-to-heart. (I almost cried at the bar lol.) Shortly after that, I smoked some natural leaves outside and decided I needed a Red Bull to pick me up.
I bought a huge Red Bull. (This is when things started getting heavy.)

Reba, Alice and I were talking outside drinking our Red Bulls and all the alcohol just hit me in the face...and a little but poured out of my mouth.

Reba or Alice didn't see me throw-up a little bit (this is going to be news to them lol) because they were engaged in conversing about--the topic leaves me--and I was pretty sneaky with my delivery lol.

Afterwards, we split up in two cabs (because there were a total of 9 of us) to head down to see our friend Alyssa on 72nd Street and Broadway, where her going-away celebration was in the city. (By the way, congratulations on your consultant job Alyssa. I hope you have fun at training baby girl!)

I didn't make it to her party though.
Once we got in the cab it didn't take long for me to throw up some more with all the movement and smells. I threw up at least six times out of the cab window (some of it trickled down the inside of the car door). It got to the point where I didn't have anything else to throw up, so it looked like I was having a seizure. I left my precious duckies on 72nd Street, taking the cab we took to get downtown, to go home. It wasn't fun at all.

Looking back at it now, it was hilarious. I should have known my limit but I kept pushing. (My motto is: Go hard or go home. I'm not going home.) I've never been that fcuked up in my life. Hence, my laid-back attitude, in regards to drinking on my birthday.

In regards to attitude, I honestly cannot stand my mother right now. I love this woman but she is unbearable at the present time. She is incredibly sassy (without reason) and it's gotten to the point where I have to physically and mentally restrain myself because she can be so nasty at times. When I bring it to her attention she blames it on her "time of the month" but it seems like the "time of the month" mood swings are becoming "times of every day."

She and my stepdad have been making these little jokes about cutting my cell phone off when I turn 21 and tell me I need to get a paying job.

Mind you, after I landed my internship with HarperCollins my mother said "Don't worry about getting a job. You have an internship to handle."

She is so backwards.
Let me give you an example of the sass I get from her nowadays.

Last night, I left a steak out to thaw in the kitchen so I could cook it before TRUE BLOOD came on. It was evident that I was going to make a steak because she saw me take it out of the freezer. Anywho, right when I turn on the George Forman grill, here she comes, into the kitchen with as towel, saying "I was about to wash my hair." If I hadn't gone into the kitchen, I'm sure she wouldn't have step foot into it. This got me so upset.
The conversation went along these lines:

Me: (controlling my anger, talking through gritted teeth) You always do this.
Mom: (sassy face) I can do whatever I want.
Me: (sassing her right back) Well, that's good for you.
Mom: You better stop sassing me.
Me: You sassed me first, so why can't I retaliate? (walking away, into my room.)

She recently turned 40 and Graham is on her team saying "maybe she's going through menopause." I just think she's being a little too sassy.

In regards to her telling me to get a paying job, sorry that I'm a great student and I landed a unique internship with HarperCollins Publishers. Sorry that I'm the only intern--out of the hundreds--that has his own office. Sorry that I'm gonna make more money that you in the future. Sorry that I'm gonna quarantine you in a nursing home when I become famous (well, more famous).
Woooohuh!
I'm sorry duckies. I needed to let that out. I was holding that in for the longest. It just doesn't seem fair to me because I'm a good kid. I don't deserved to be sassed by my Mom for no apparent reason. In most cases, it's not constructive or joking criticism; it's deconstructive and sassy.

Okay, it's definitely time for some "Words of Wisdom."

"When confronted with relentless negativity, do not feed into it. Try your best to compose yourself. Feeding into the negativity only worsens the situation. If possible, take a step back to evaluate the situation and try to come to a compromise. If this doesn't work just walk away and continue to be positively fabulous."

I should take heed to the words I just said so I will confront my mother about our prior interactions. I don't know how I'll do it...maybe I'll write her a letter when I'm back at school. Hmmm.

Oh geez! We are way overdue for a "Word of the Week."
The new word of the week is...
Stray: one confused of one's sexuality; one claiming to be "straight" but indulges in homosexual activity.
Ex.
Person 1: "Gabriel, I don't know about Jeffrey. He seems a bit weird and uncomfortable when he's around gay and feminine men."
Person 2: "I know, right? He's probably stray. I get that vibe from him.

Okay duckies, it's time for me to go do some actual work today. I'm sitting at my supervisor's desk this week, on the 11th floor, in the Corporate Communications Department.
I update Twitter like crazy. Follow me! twitter.com/sassme
Like Rockstar (follow him on Twitter too!) I think Twitter is slowly killing my blog. But I shall rise duckies!

(Look at this hot picture of me and Nivea. We had a glamorous photoshoot on Elle Fox's courtyard. Click here to see it all!)

Oh watch this video: it's about Derek from The Real World Cancun and another roomate. Hilarious!

I wish you the best of happiness duckies. I love you. Stay true, tuned, and glamorous!

I Have Risen

As blasphemous as this blog post's title sounds duckies, I have. I have been in bed practically all weekend. I didn't even go to class today. I was so under the weather. Deep breaths would lead to coughing fits, laying in bed would cause sweating, staying up to watch a movie would drain me...I was a mess. I am now regaining my health. I had to commit myself to homemade rehab; my body convinced me that it was time.
Due to my health, traveling was an absolute "no-no" so I had to stay on campus this weekend. I couldn't greet Jesus with my family.
And you know what?! Campus was a wasteland. I literally saw a bag of Doritos tumbling in the wind, across the campus' village lawn. That never happens duckies! I was in No-Man's Land.
Luckily, Michelle, Ari, Cris, Shoshana, Steph, Debb and Lauren were here to save me...although the true survivors of the weekend were Ari, Michelle, ShoShana and Cris. These girls helped me regain my strength. They told me to relax and I did. I finally relaxed duckies. We watched "The Devil Wears Prada," a little bit of "Friends with Money" and "The House Bunny." The hardest decisions I made all weekend was my outfit choice. Despite my lack of wellness (style should not take toll because of your physical well-being) I changed more than once in a given day. Like I said before duckies, dress how you want to feel: accentuate your ego, caress your desires and wear your psyche around your cuff-links.
Anywho, these fabulous ladies made my weekend bearable and festive. Michelle, I love our adventures and how much we love fresh air. Thank you for coming to my room--so I wouldn't have to go alone--to get my DVD collection case. Steph, thank you for being my center this weekend. I'm so glad you like "True Blood" now. Ari, baby girl I love that we both have an obsession with Beyonce, (thanks for trying to wake me up with "Halo"). Cris, I love your crystal and your beautiful presence (we need to hang out more). All I have to say is...
Oh! I got some juicy news. Somehow Nick is trying to get back in my life (not the biggest shocker) and he told me he's getting a full-ride to Yale's graduate program, plus a stipend next year!
Congratulations Nick! I am so proud of you; chase your dreams!
But I have a confession.
I love hearing good news from friends and sometimes I get carried away when I hear great news from past lovers. However, as A-List as you are, it's never going to work out. Every time we get back together its fine for a couple months then we're both looking for the best way to break it off. I think friends would be the best option right now because we can still converse and stuff. But anything further than friendship, at this moment, doesn't seem manageable. Of course it'll take work from both our ends (especially mine because I still have deep feelings for you) but I need to move on and test the waters. I'm only twenty-years young and the world wants more than a sample; they want all of Gabriel and I'm ready to bare as much as necessary!

Duckies, there was some hardcore dabble about marriage coming from Nick's side of the phone. But I thoroughly explained to him that my 20's are going to be about me. As much as I would love the idea of being the only one among my peers, in a semi-committal semi-stable relationship, I would much rather prefer enjoying my individual star lifestyle. I love you enough to not take this any further duckie.
Speaking of leaving before the Feds come in and bust the joint down (you'll understand if you watch the movie I'm about to mention), I am in love with the movie "Boiler Room."
After watching this movie...OMG, life is so clear. I know exactly how I'm going to shoot up to international stardom. In addition to my clear, cookie-cutter career choice my reasoning is impeccable. I can see through so much of society's acceptable bull$hit that sometimes I confuse myself because (in my head) I explain it so well that it seems ridiculous that I once saw the world as something unbeatable and impossible. The world is yours duckies...take it all and forgive others (only once and a half) lol!
In regards to taking it all, I wish I had a maid on campus, that could clean my apartment and efficiently take care of my laundry. I am very anal-retentive when it comes to my clothing because image is everything to me. If you can't take pride in your outfit then you shouldn't wear it. I am recovering from a chest cold and I was decked out in my black leather Calvin Klein shoots (shoe boots), black and white striped Adidas track pants, grey Red Cap t-shirt, huge black wool scarf, black peacoat and matching black skully cap. I looked damn good for someone coming out of a sickness-induced coma. Back to business, I wish I had less pride so I send my laundry out.
I love my stuff smelling like me, fresh. Ergo, I don't think I'll ever have anyone else do it again (unless I'm really sick). I love you Mommy but my laundry is a crucial part of my life. My clothes--sometimes, as superficial as it sounds--define my personality. My wardrobe is usually spunky and fun...just like me.
Wooohuh! Okay duckies, I think it's time for some "Words of Wisdom."
"Love your life. No matter what is happening, love it for the things you foresee in your future. Love your life because you're alive. Love your life because it's yours...you belong here for a reason duckie! Love every second because you can feel how beautiful it is to be you."
Sorry duckies but we need to start loving our lives more. Being sick, I am jealous of my bored days. When I was bored I fully capable: inhaling deeply without feeling the shaky remembrance of the mucus harbored in my abdomen, going about everyday liberties without the promise of draining my energy, laughing without being bombarded with harsh coughing. When I cough I feel like my throat is being force-fed coarse stones.

But I still love life duckies. This is merely a temporary pit-stop. Now it's time to relax and treasure. In a day or two I'll be attacking the world again, as if nothing happened.
Babychild! I forgot to mention that Alyssa and Rockstar were phenomenal at their lip sync performance today. Alyssa invited me to come see her performance for our school's annual Greek Week ceremonial/social event--and her sorority was matched-up with their soulmate fraternity--being held at Konover. The performances were superb but Alyssa's routine won 1st place.
I'm proud of you duckies!

Mike: Graham told me that you joined my FaceBook group "Gabriel Anderson Friends" and he quoted you--in a text--saying "I don't just join any group." I feel honored that you joined duckie. Tell your friends, spread the gospel of Gabriel Anderson. I love that you read it and I am glad that I can share my life with you. Thank you for being a treasured ruby. I truly appreciate you.
Graham: Sorry Monica and I took forever to meet you at Konover today. We were lallygagging for quite a bit and we lost track of time. Plus I'm sick so we had to walk at a moderate pace...you know with the whole thing of my chest being consumed by mucus...no biggie lol. Anywho, I had a blast with you and Monica tonight. Thank you for making me laugh. Laughter is the best cure for any ailment. But always remember...CUT THE CORD! LOL
Monica: Babychild! You are my ride or die! Freshmen year, I remember coming up to your place all times of night and we would converse about life and you would always bring up that you heard me singing Beyonce earlier in the day. It sucks that we're not married anymore but its for the better. You know I only "enjoy" women after 3am on Saturdays nights! ONE NIGHT ONLY, aow! Love you.
Rockstar: Rockstar! We were BBMing each other and I found out you're sick too. Why are we sick? We don't deserve this lol...no one does. I'm guessing this is God's way of making us take a break from our A-List lives. I wish he was more subtle; maybe he'll mess with the reception of our BBM? Now that I think about it losing BBM is worse than a chest cold. We're surviving and I might wanna move to Cali with you in eight months. Wooohuh, get ready for it baby boy! (Or maybe not...we'll talk lol.)
Courtney/Innocent: OMG, Innocent. I couldn't believe you came into my room today, knowing I was sick, just to check-up on me. You were not afraid of the impending doom of the lurking germs in my room. You were concerned for my health and you braved it all. Courtney, you are such a delight to have in life. I am so glad I have you as a friend. You are a remarkable person and I can't wait for more Bad-A$$ and Innocent Adventures. I love you.
Okay duckies, I am too drained to do anything else but sleep right now. I'll probably do my laundry on Wednesday instead of tomorrow morning. Oh well! I still love life...just not enough to have my throat raped by rocks again lol.
I wish you the best of happiness. Stay true duckies.

Haunted in Hartford

Duckies! Yes, I have been a bit negligent with posting but I've been super-busy with life. I'm tending to summer internship paperwork, Red Cap duties, homework, family, my social life and myself. I just made a new away message and Monica really liked it. It reads:
"There comes a time in life when one has to die in order to live; it isn't a sad death but more of an inner-awakening."

I have no idea where such insight came to me so early this morning--10AM is early for a college student--but I wanted to share that with you.
Speaking of Monica, she, Graham and I had a homework party last night. But like any homework party it became a party among the company of books. We accomplished some assignments but not as many as we planned.

Let's face it...homework sucks! Plus it's not even homework. It's dormroomwork. Nonetheless we finished our assignments...well I know I did lol.
In other news, Garret, Josh and I have decided to live together next year. We're going to be suities (suitemates)!

We want Nate to live with us too but none of us have had the chance--or remembers when he's around the suite--to ask him. (Maybe I'll just send him the link to this post lol). We are going to get singles in Park River, the college retirement home on campus. Freshmen year we dealt with the brickhouse projects and our second and third years have been spent with random people. However, we're going to be pampered as seniors! (Ahhhh, I'm going to be a senior in college next year!)
I'm not freaking out, just merely making peace with it in a rash manner lol.
Anywho, this past weekend was an absolute wonder. I traveled afar--on campus--to many destinations: parties, social gatherings and to those I love dearly. I believe it was Friday night that I visited Alyssa's apartment and we were sharing friendly-gossip, of course. Then the subject changed to "Twilight: The Movie" and how pain-stricken Jasper looks in every scene.

If you haven't seen "Twilight: The Movie" please do. It's hilarious. I was a bit hesitant when Gabriella begged Mommy and I to go with her to see it in theaters but afterwards I could only thank Gabriella for such a treat.
Speaking of movies, Graham, Monica and I finally had the chance to see "The Haunting in Connecticut."

It was such an amazing film: there were parts where we jumped, screamed and laughed. For the most part, I'm still afraid when I'm alone in my room. As seen in the previews, there's a scene where the main character (Matt) turns off his TV and sees a dark male figure walk out of his door's threshold. I've been sleeping with my TV on ever since I've seen "The Haunting in CT." I'm such a scared little duckie.

In regards to TV, it brings me great grief to say this but we--my producer and I--have decided to cancel my TV show's production.

"The Antoine Gardner Show," which would have been an ultimate success, would have killed the both of us. With Mallory being so close to graduation and with me stressing over school already we though it'd be best to lessen our load while we were ahead. But duckies, never fear I am full of endless goals.
I was thinking about starting a VLOG (video blog) in addition to the glamorous blog you're reading right now. This weekend Eddie let me borrow his video camera and it felt so good to video tape others while I interjected with witty humor. (I'll give you more details about the VLOG as time progresses.)

I think it's time for the "Word of the Week."
This word of the week is:
Hove - To adore something so purely that it is then transfixed into hate; justified jealousy; hate-love.
Ex: Person 1: "I love you so much that I hate you, Gabriel."
Person 2: "Honeychild, that's called hove. And you have no idea how much I hove you."

Since I'm in good spirits, let me give you some "Words of Wisdom" too.
"We are all collectedly ignorant. Without experiencing the opposite of our usual comfort zone we cannot fully appreciate and understand those who may not agree with us. In order for people to survive, an equal and opposite force needs to be present. Take time to understand."

Lauren, Cliff Morris, Aly and Amanda...
Lauren - This day makes it a year that we've been friends. I remember your party last year and how much fun it was with the Happy Meal Aladdin stickers lol. (Were they Happy Meal stickers??) Happy Birthday honeychild!
Aly - Wooohuh! Regents buddy! Grace! I love you so much and I can't even explain how much I want you to rape this day. Make it yours! Happy birthday sweetheart!
Cliff Morris - Do I really need to express how much I love you?! (Ummm...Yes! lol) I love you so much dude. You are an unbelievably valuable treasure and I can't imagine life without you. Happy birthday my dear people-friend!
Amanda - I am terribly sad that you took this year off from school but I am so happy that I can call you a friend. I love you with all my heart and I had a great time at your party...even though you might not remember lol. Happy birthday baby girl!
Okay duckies, it's time for me to start my beautiful day. It looks like it's about to rain but nothing stops me from loving the world.
I wish you the best of happiness. Stay true duckies.

SoHo Extravaganza

Hello duckies. I know you're feeling well because that's how life should be spent. But today one of my dear people-friends almost saw her glamorous life's end.
Alyssa is down in Florida (I think) with her grandmother and cousin and she spent her day at the beach. Up in the Northeastern region of the United States of Sassica, I was at my NY people-friend's house: Elle Fox.

Today I finally fell in love with her sassy dog Tyler.

He's always giving me sassy eyes and ignoring my commands. But today he was being very friendly and attentive...but not as attentive as Alyssa's almost-murderer.
Anywho, Alyssa BBMed me and our conversation went along these lines:
Alyssa: Rar-Rar! I was just swimming in the ocean and a D-List rar-rar tried to attack. I got out just in time.
Me: OMG, that's so scary!
Alyssa: I was with my grandma and my 3 year-old cousin; this old man was like "get outta the water!"
(Alyssa cont.)
We start swimming and running and I look over to see a dark gray fin heading towards me.
Me: OMG it wanted to use you for fifteen minutes of A-Listness.
Alyssa: I can see it on the cover of US Weekly: "A-Lister beats-up shark, proclaimed hero among geriatrics."
Hahahah, oh Alyssa.

Speaking of A-Listers, you will die (I hope only figuratively) when I tell you who was on the train with Elle and I today. Effing gorgeous Kerri Russell was sitting across from us on the 6 train.
Elle and I looked at each other at the same time and laughed. Kerri is gorgeous; she looks the same in person, if not more striking. We deemed her celebrity of the week because we respect her so much more for taking the train with us up-and-coming A-Listers. You go Glenn Coco!

After we got off the train Elle & I got our Starbucks fix and roamed the glamorous land of SoHo. We hit up some shops (Old Navy, Uni Qlo and street vendors). But after a few hours of wandering Elle remembered that she promised to meet up with her other people-friends; we departed after she and I went to my Mom's office. (We're just that A-List.)
Anywho, after Elle left Mommy and I shopped until we couldn't carry anything else.
We (well, Mommy) spent some heavy bucks.
I got about 4 shirts, 2 hoodies, 1 pair of hot casual shoes, 2 pairs of jeans, and a Spider-Man pillow. (I couldn't find Batman so Spider-Man swung in and saved the day.)
Enough about me, let's get to some "Words of Wisdom."
"Never blame present failures for past unfortunates. The past is a tool that molds us into the beautiful person we are today and the future is chosen by our actions. Every action has an equal reaction; do the present wisely."

OMG, I have some super-duper A-List news to tell you. So one of my people-friends Maria has taken the semester off to prioritize her life (kudos to you duckie) and in doing she started writing. So far she's written 70 pages...but guess what?! Maria knows the right people and she's in the process of getting her book published!

(Duckies I am not poking fun at Maria. She told me via Facebook that she really needs a copy of this lol.)
Maria, welcome to the elite club of A-Listers; congratulations duckie!
To the rest of you duckies, keep following your dreams...while I meet mine with closed eyes tonight.
I wish you the best of happiness. Stay true.
Peace, love & Obama,
Gabriel Anderson

Spring has officially broken

Hey duckies. I apologize for the "missing post," the one that should have been posted yesterday. Last night happened too fast and I was knocked out when I returned from Alyssa's birthday bash. I had so much fun. The food was divine. We were so A-List that people kept coming up to our table to converse. This one little girl thought Alyssa was a princess (sooo cute) and the couple at the table next to ours were taking pictures of Alyssa. Paparazzi!

It was such an A-List event; just about everyone on my BBM contact list was there lol.

OH, OH, OH! At Ginza I got a call from my Dad and he told me my BlackBerry was back on!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

It was such a great way to end my meal.

Afterwards, Rockstar and I (because they're such amazing individuals) played boardgames with Justin, Becca and Jordan. I think the boardgame was Quelf.

It's sooo much fun because its so random. I forgot how I lost the game but I didn't even care because we were laughing so hard; I was oblivious to the world last night because I was feeling so A-List with the endless amount of fans and A-Listers calling my phone.
More on that topic, I always forget to give my publicist, Jessy Cat, a shout-out.

I ran into her in the library yesterday: she is always on-the-go and always ready to lend a hand, even when she has tons to accomplish. Jessy Cat, I love you and my life is so much more pleasant and easier with you around. Thanks duckie!

As you may know (if you stalk us University of Hartford students) our Spring Break started today.

Due to unfortunate events I am still on campus, working for my secret job. Let's just say by this time of the year my school spirit is running on empty; I need SoHo in my life!

But negativity aside, let's get to some "Words of Wisdom."
"Standing (alone) against adversarial forces is more rewarding than blending in with a follower's crowd. It is only when we stand strongly alone that we are able overpower the evil in the world. Trust yourself."

*To all those duckies who are (or already have) venturing out of the country, be safe and don't put your life in the hands of strangers...unless they offer you sugar-coated drugs, yaaaay! lol jk jk.
*To every other duckie not celebrating Spring Break out of the country or do not have anything planned, enjoy this break to the fullest.

There is this new band Rockstar and I, (mainly Rockstar), discovered. They're called "Manufactured Defects."

Their music is so new-age Pop/indie-grunge. (Think Lady Gaga but three males). Their website is http://manufactured-defects.com. Make sure to check them out!

I am off to bed duckies. My eyes want to see what my brain has cooked for dessert...I hope it isn't a nightmare lol.

I wish you the best of happiness. Stay true duckies.

Gabriel Anderson

Mission: Black(out)Berry

Yo duckies, what's going on? I hope you're feeling beautiful today because...you are, duh! lol
I am growing tired of Mother Nature's indecisiveness.

Earlier today (when it wasn't below 100 degrees like it is now, at 4:47AM), I thought it would be nice to be outdoors. I took my personal green folding chair and I sat outside for a bit, taking in as much fresh(ly-polluted) air as I could.

It was absolutely refreshing, being one with Mother Nature (when she isn't sassing the world because no one can see her).

Speaking of one with nature, I recently find myself less dependent on electronic forms of communication...only when I don't have any set appointments with fellow A-Listers. But what really sasses me red is I have to send emails from my laptop nowadays.

Duckies, Blackbird easily sends out emails...even while it plays music; every email had its own song. I miss that! Come back to life Blackbird!

Being the A-Lister that you know me to be I was walking about campus today and OMG...I ran into Jon. Jon is the nicest kid in the world and...he has a BlackBerry; how better can he possibly get? Anywho, I told him my parents were punishing me (blaming me for the crazy bill...I have no idea how my bill almost exceeded $500) by keeping my phone off until Friday. Jon told me his bill was $600 this month...I smell a Verizon BlackBerry conspiracy.

Verizon Wireless get it together. I know your purpose in life is to follow that annoying guy around the U.S. in every commercial but cut me some slack. My BlackBerry is my life; cut the $hit!

In other news, I picked up my first Playboy Magazine today.

(Thanks Pete!)

What caught my attention was Aubrey O'Day; yes, she posed for Playboy's March 2009 edition. (She's beautiful...don't sudge her!) The nudity didn't really excite me (we all know what team I'm on) but I did observe the naked women. I am a beauty enthusiast and I fell in love with the magazine, only a couple pages in. Aside from the nudity (I thought this was a myth) the articles are well-written and witty. I liked the magazine so much that I'm going to mail my subscription card later today...yaaaay! I need Playboy Magazine in my life.

OH, I forgot to mention this! As you know the J Boys (Justin and Jordan) were on our show last night and they were as fun as usual. (You should have been listening duckies!) Before the show they told me they had a surprise for Rockstar and I. I thought they were going to make us t-shirts or something...ha!
Justin and Jordan created an online "Rar-Rar" gift shop for us! OMG, I was almost in tears when they showed us but the caffeine pills wouldn't allow it.

The link to the shop is http://cafepress.com/rarrar. We have everything: tote bags, t-shirts, notebooks, thongs, mugs, flip HD cameras, baby bibs, posters, hoodies, chocolate. (Okay, we don't have our own chocolate...yet lol.) Our faces are on everything...but it is done is such a tasteful manner. And who wouldn't want my face or Rockstar's face on everything?! I'm sure blind people would even want our gear...what?! lol
Jordan...Justin...I love you guys so much. Thank you for everything.

Okay duckies since we're on a good note let's get to some "Words of Wisdom."

"In order to build something substantial you must first create a strong belief. It is only with an unwavering sense of belief that you can build something beautiful. However, if you start pondering doubt more than faith, your substantial being will crumble before your eyes."

I had little mix-up with the date for Alyssa's B'Day celebration. It's actually scheduled for tonight...and I can't wait for the hibachi guy to melt my face off.

Leana: You are my beautiful moon. (I didn't say Sun because it's so annoying when you see it creeping through your windowsill, when you're up as late as I usually am.) I love you. Thank you for being you.

Molly Red: I love you.
Ms. Labrie: It sucks that I only got to hang out with you for no longer than two hours last night. I want you to know that I love you and I love hanging out with you. We have to go to the shooting range...I want a bad-a$$ burn scar too lol. (Just not on my precious face...oh no!)
Eddie: Unfortunate things happen all the time and dealing with these situations productively is when we are able to see our true self. Keep your head up fam!
Evy: You sexy little cupcake, you! I understand things are not going as planned but I'm incredibly sure this is for the best. Yes, time waits for no one but sometimes time just needs to take a breather and stop pressuring us. We are only human but I see a great deal of strong preciousness in you. I am here if you need me. (You have to call me though...BlackBerry is still down lol). Love you!
Graham: Chile, what are you doing calling me at 3:02am? I was in the shower lol. I miss you! We need to do lunch today. I'll be in the library pretty much the entire day. Call me, you know I can't call you lol.
Pete: LOL, thanks for calling in the radio show twice last night and thanks for my first Playboy...aow! "You the bat, Bruce!"
Okay duckies, the Sun is creeping behind the clouds and I have tons of work to do today, yaaay!
I wish you the best of happiness. Stay true.

Peace, love & Obama,

Two days for the price of sleep

Hello duckies! I have no idea how I'm still awake. Oh yea I do: caffeine pills, yay!

Kids, don't do drugs unless they're sugar-laced...then that makes them fugs (fun drugs)...yay! LOL okay, all jokes aside drugs are bad and caffeine pills are drugs so...you get the picture duckies. Do not go to the campus bookstore and buy them because you have a paper you have to finish editing that's due in less than 24 hours! Woohuh!
But drugs aside, I think its a damn good paper.

It's entitled "The 'Nowadays' Feminist." With this paper (as mentioned in my earlier post) I juxtaposed Elle Woods (Legally Blonde) and Andrea Sachs (The Devil Wears Prada) and how they are the new kind of feminist. To get into specifics I discussed how beauty correlates with sexism and how it effects women in the workplace. Through Elle's and Andrea's professional journeys they both reach a point where they find themselves; and with their new found self they are able to subconsciously and overtly promote feminism.

I just emailed Naomi a copy (hey duckie) and she hasn't IMed me back yet...maybe because it's horribly fabulous. Yay! Or maybe she isn't going to read it yet lol. I want to thank you Naomi for being there from the very beginning (freshman year, my blog...Cup Noodles lol). You know I love you more than puppy poop.
(If you duckies want to read my paper I'd be more than happy to email you a copy. Shoot an email to Agardner@hartford.edu and I'll reply.)

Speaking of horribly fabulous, I called my Dad from Samantha's phone today, (thanks Sam), while she, Francis, William and I waited for our food at the Nest. (Are you ready for this duckies?)
Blackbird won't be on until...FRIDAY! AHHHHHHH!

I just looked at my calendar and I realized this upcoming Friday is the second Friday the 13th of 2009...I think lol. Anywho, my Dad said my bill a was around $500...who the fcuk has been using my phone to call Hell?!

(Sorry if this image scared you...it's just me in make-up. Oh Freshmen year. The memories.)

Anywho, as I mentioned in my previous post I received the position as a preceptor for a Freshmen class on a survey of Toni Morrison's novels. I am so excited. But more importantly I am grateful to have Professor Beckford as an instructor...because she recommended me for the position!

Professor Beckford you are one of the most precious human beings I've ever met and you're such a remarkable instructor.
(Side Note: Duckies, this is not sucking up. I am showing my gratitude. Plus I have a paper due tomorrow and in no way is it going to be graded any gracefully than the next.)
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

In other news, last night I was chatting online with Phil (he's my frikking sanity on days like this) and we discovered that we both love Batman. This isn't like "oh yeah, Batman's cool" kind of adoration. This is "if Batman were a real person we'd be stalking the Bat Cave, in our Batman PJs and matching capes" kind of obsession.

(Maybe not that much...okay I'm lying lol.)
I love you Batman!
He's my favorite superhero because he's just a mortal man who kicks a$$ like no other. Plus, he's like the only superhero who doesn't have crappy relationships, hates their life or is broke; Batman/Bruce Wayne is the man...I mean..."you the Bat, Bruce." lol

Tonight Rockstar and I will be on our radio show, "Rar-Rar w/ Rockstar and DJ Squiggz."

Our show is from 9pm to 10pm.
You can listen/watch us online (there's a live webcam in the studio) at wsam.hartford.edu or if you're lazy and you live on campus turn to Channel 5 on your TV or tune your radio (people still have those?) to 105.3FM.
We'll play those new jams you love so much and tonight the J Boys will be in the studio with us.(Check out their website: jboyswsam.webs.com) If you wanna request a song or just wanna talk to us sexy duckies the number for the station is (860) 768-4768! Call in tonight!

Okay, I've held it off long enough...let's get to some "Words of Wisdom."

"When peril tries to back you into a corner don't freeze to think: react! You are highly capable of defending yourself because you're smart, beautiful and you love yourself...so kick some a$$."

Alyssa: You have no idea how great it feels having the privilege of calling you a people-friend. I love hanging out with you, whatever you touch turns fabulous and I want you to take this day and shove some A-list cake down its throat. Happy birthday! (I wanna come to Ginza but I don't think I'll be able to go because my show starts at 9. Call me if anything...I can't call you lol.)

Molly Red: I love you and I got your back like a door has a handle. (Lol what?!)

Monica: The sandwich quote was the post you commented on lol. "The end is the best part, duh!" lol. I love you.

Jordan: Thank you for keeping me sane in the WSAM meeting last night...lol I was so over it. Thanks for being a friend.

Justin: Get ready for Group D all summer boyeeeeeee! (What? What?!)

Diamond: Thank you for the blow pop and thank you for keeping me focused last night lol. Your lesson plan is going to be fabulous!

William: Roomy! (Francis told me to do it lol) Love ya!

Alexis: I love running into you at the library and at Dialogues. Ugh, I love you.

Okay duckies, I gotta go get some lunch with Francis and William before I pass out lol.

I wish you the best of happiness. Stay true duckies.

Peace, love & Obama,
Gabriel Anderson
